Location. The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport is located in Detroit, Mich., 10 miles from the University of Michigan Dearborn. The Ford Motor Company World Headquarters and Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village are eight miles from the hotel. The Automotive Hall of Fame is less than nine miles away.
Hotel Features. The smoke-free Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport features a nine-story atrium with granite and bamboo décor. The lobby offers direct access to the Northwest Airlines terminal. Complimentary airport shuttle service is available. The lobby features electronic-ticket kiosks and arrival/departure monitors. The Dema Restaurant and Bar serves Asian cuisine and overlooks the lobby. Seafood, steak and pasta are served in the main dining area. Drinks and appetizers are available at the sleek, stainless steel and redwood bar. The hotel provides 25,000 square feet of event space with 28 meeting rooms. This Detroit hotel's 24-hour fitness center includes towels, a water cooler, free weights, cardiovascular equipment with individual television screens, weight-training equipment, balance balls and floor mats. The hotel includes a glass tile-accented indoor pool. A day spa in the next terminal offers discounts for hotel guests. Maps for running and jogging routes in the area are available.
