The hotel is within two kilometres of Vienna's city centre and its attractions which include Stephansplatz (St Stephan's Cathedral), Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Spanish Riding School. Stephansplatz is a five-minute metro ride away and there is a metro station outside the hotel. The main Wien Westbahnhof train station is 500 metres away. Hotel Features. Getting there. The S-7 S-Bahn train runs between the airport and central Vienna, stopping at a number of U-Bahn (underground) stations. Single tickets cost 6 EUR. There is an underground station outside the hotel. An express train (CAT) also leaves the airport every 30 minutes for the City Air Terminal. Buses to City Air Terminal depart every 20 minutes. The journey time is 16 minutes, and single tickets cost 9 EUR. Buses run to the city centre, Budapest, Bratislava, and the Westbahnhof and SĂĽdbahnhof railway stations. Getting around. The Nh Atterseehaus hotel is on Mariahilfer Strasse. Vienna city centre is best explored on foot. The city is served by a cheap and efficient public transport system, including buses, trams, and S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains. An underground station can be found outside the hotel and trains take just five minutes to Stephansplatz. Taxis can be hailed on the street, but are quite expensive.
